TNFSF4 is a single-pass transmembrane protein and cytokine that is part of the tumor necrosis factor ligand family. TNFSF4 binds TNFRSF4 and promotes T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. TNFSF4 also mediates adhesion between endothelial cells and activated T-cells. Mutations in TNFSF4 are related to Sjogren’s syndrome and lupus.
