NTRK1 is a single-pass transmembrane protein and receptor tyrosine kinase. NTRK1 primarily binds NGF, but also binds NTF3. NTRK1 is involved in cellular differentiation, possibly of subtypes or sensory neurons. Variants of NTRK1 are associated with cancer, cognitive disability, congenital insensitivity to pain, self-mutilating behavior, and anhidrosis.
