Leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor subfamily B member 3 (LILRB3) belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and is part of the LILR cluster located in the leukocyte receptor complex on chromosome 19. It is a transmembrane glycoprotein containing multiple extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains and intracellular immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs), which enable it to recruit phosphatases and transmit inhibitory signals. LILRB3 is primarily expressed on myeloid cells and is involved in modulating immune responses by dampening cellular activation. Its specific ligands remain incompletely characterized.
