Specificity ProfileMore Information

The specificity of CTLA4 Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0022) was tested on the Membrane Proteome Array™ and shown to be specific for human CTLA4.

The Membrane Proteome Array™ contains 6,000 different human membrane proteins, each expressed in unfixed human cells to ensure native conformation and post-translational modifications. The Membrane Proteome Array™ represents the industry standard for determining the binding specificity of antibodies and other protein ligands.

ApplicationConditionsRecommended Concentration
Flow Cytometry, ExtracellularLive, Unpermeabilized1 µg/ml
HEK-293F cells transiently transfected with human CTLA4 were stained with CTLA4 Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0022) (green) or isotype control antibody (gray), followed by AlexaFluor 647-conjugated anti-Mouse IgG secondary antibody. HEK-293F cells transiently transfected with an empty control vector were also stained with CTLA4 Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0022) (blue).

CTLA-4 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily that contains a V domain, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail and has a membrane-bound isoform and a soluble isoform. The membrane-bound isoform is a homodimer, while the soluble isoform is a monomer. CTLA-4 transmits an inhibitory signal to T-cells, and mutations in CTLA-4 are associated with type 1 diabetes, Graves’ disease, Hashimoto thyroiditis, celiac disease, lupus, thyroid-associated orbitopathy, and other autoimmune diseases. (NCBI Gene: 1493). Other names: CD152, GSE, CD, CELIAC3, IDDM12, ALPS5, GRD4
