Flow Cytometry, Extracellular: HEK-293F cells transiently transfected with human CD3e were stained with CD3e Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0133) (green) or isotype control antibody (gray), followed by AlexaFluor 647- conjugated anti-Mouse IgG secondary antibody. HEK-293F cells transiently transfected with an empty control vector were also stained with CD3e Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0133) (blue).

CD3e is a single-pass transmembrane protein. CD3e is a component of the T-cell receptor-CD3 complex, along with CD3g, CD3d, CD3z, and the T-cell receptor alpha/beta and gamma/delta heterodimers. The CD3 chains, including CD3e, are responsible for transmitting TCR-mediated signals. CD3e is also involved in T-cell development. Defects in CD3e result in immunodeficiency
