Membrane Proteome Specificity
The specificity of CD11c Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0227) was tested on the Membrane Proteome Array™ and shown to be specific for human CD11c. The Membrane Proteome Array™ contains 6,000 different human membrane proteins, each expressed in unfixed Human cells to ensure native conformation and post-translational modifications. The Membrane Proteome Array™ represents the industry standard for determining the binding specificity of antibodies and other protein ligands.

Integrin alpha X (ITGAX) is a type I transmembrane protein that belongs to the integrin alpha chain family and heterodimerizes with integrin beta 2 (ITGB2) to form the CD11c/CD18 complex, also known as complement receptor 4 (CR4). It is primarily expressed on dendritic cells, monocytes, macrophages, and certain activated lymphocytes, where it mediates cell adhesion, migration, and phagocytosis through interactions with ligands such as iC3b and intercellular adhesion molecules. The extracellular region contains an inserted (I) domain that facilitates ligand binding, while the cytoplasmic tail participates in intracellular signaling and cytoskeletal organization. ITGAX contributes to immune cell trafficking and antigen presentation processes.
