The specificity of TSPAN13 Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0163) was tested on the Membrane Proteome Array® and shown to be specific for human TSPAN13. The Membrane Proteome Array® contains 6,000 different human membrane proteins, each expressed in unfixed human cells to ensure native conformation and post-translational modifications. The Membrane Proteome Array® represents the industry standard for determining the binding specificity of antibodies and other protein ligands. |

Tetraspanin-13 (TSPAN13) is a member of the tetraspanin family, a group of small transmembrane proteins characterized by four transmembrane domains and two extracellular loops. TSPAN13 is expressed in various tissues, with enrichment in the central nervous system and some epithelial tissues. It is thought to participate in the organization of membrane microdomains and may modulate signaling by interacting with partner proteins at the cell surface. The precise biological role of TSPAN13 remains unclear due to limited functional characterization. (NCBI Gene: 27075, UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot: O95857) Other names: NET-7, TM4SF13, tetraspan NET-7
