The specificity of CDH17 Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0181) was tested on the Membrane Proteome Array® and shown to be specific for human CDH17. The Membrane Proteome Array® contains 6,000 different human membrane proteins, each expressed in unfixed human cells to ensure native conformation and post-translational modifications. The Membrane Proteome Array® represents the industry standard for determining the binding specificity of antibodies and other protein ligands. |

Cadherin-17 is a non-classical member of the cadherin superfamily involved in calcium-dependent cell adhesion. It features seven extracellular cadherin domains and a single-pass transmembrane segment but lacks the conserved cytoplasmic domain required for catenin binding, distinguishing it from classical cadherins. CDH17 is mainly expressed in the gastrointestinal tract, where it facilitates homophilic cell-cell adhesion and contributes to epithelial cohesion. It does not have a confirmed role in intracellular signaling pathways. (NCBI Gene: 1015, UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot: Q12864 ) Other names: Cadherin 17, HPT-1, Intestinal Peptide-Associated Transporter HPT-1
