The specificity of CD44 Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0060) was tested on the Membrane Proteome Array® and shown to be specific for human CD44. The Membrane Proteome Array® contains 6,000 different human membrane proteins, each expressed in unfixed human cells to ensure native conformation and post-translational modifications. The Membrane Proteome Array® represents the industry standard for determining the binding specificity of antibodies and other protein ligands. |

CD44 is a single-pass transmembrane protein and cell-surface glycoprotein. CD44 is involved in cell-cell interactions, cell adhesion, and migration and is a receptor for hyaluronic acid, collagen, and other parts of the extracellular matrix. CD44 plays roles in hematopoiesis, inflammation, and immune response and may also be involved tumor metastasis.
