Specificity Profile | More Information |
The specificity of CD338 Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0030) was tested on the Membrane Proteome Array™ and shown to be specific for human CD338. The Membrane Proteome Array™ contains 6,000 different human membrane proteins, each expressed in unfixed human cells to ensure native conformation and post-translational modifications. The Membrane Proteome Array™ represents the industry standard for determining the binding specificity of antibodies and other protein ligands. |

CD338 is a multi-pass transmembrane protein and member of the White subfamily of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. Specifically, CD338 is a xenobiotic transporter that likely acts as a cellular defense mechanism against mitoxantrone and anthracycline. CD338 is also referred to as a breast cancer resistance protein and may be involved in multi-drug resistance. (NCBI Gene: 9429, UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot: Q9UNQ0).
