The specificity of ADAM9 Monoclonal Antibody (CSB0071) was tested on the Membrane Proteome Array® and shown to be specific for human ADAM9. The Membrane Proteome Array® contains 6,000 different human membrane proteins, each expressed in unfixed human cells to ensure native conformation and post-translational modifications. The Membrane Proteome Array® represents the industry standard for determining the binding specificity of antibodies and other protein ligands. |

ADAM9 is a single-pass transmembrane protein that is part of the ADAM (A disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family, whose members are membrane-anchored proteins with similarities in structure to snake venom disintegrins. ADAM family members are involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions during fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. ADAM9 is involved in tumorigenesis and angiogenesis.
